Art for Food Group Show and Sale
visit the Herringer Kiss Gallery during their 2nd annual Art for Food Group Show and Sale and they will donate proceeds to the Calgary Food Bank towards the purchase of emergency food hampers for Calgary families in need.

The proceeds of this show will go towards helping keep Calgary families fed and supporting a community effort to improve the quality of life of those less fortunate. For each $1,000 of art sold, a family of four will be supplied with the required food necessities for one entire week.

Purolator Tackle Hunger Game
July 30th, Stampeders fans donated $10898.72 and 3930 lbs of food to support the Calgary Food Bank.

These results added to the donations made by Purolator Calgary and their Calgary clients during Tackle Hunger Week the first week of June 2010 means that over $14,000 and 27670 lbs of food have been raised for the Calgary Food Bank through Purolator’s Tackle Hunger program.

This year’s game was also held in conjunction with the Stampeders “Be a Fan, Bring a Can” campaign supported by the wives and girlfriends of the Stampeder’s Coaching Staff and players.

Previously the “Be a Fan, Bring a Can” campaign was held at the Labour Day Classic. The Stampeders will have food collection bins set up at their administration office through the Labour Day Classic for any fan who may have missed bringing their donation to the July 30th game.

Alternately if you missed your opportunity to support the 2010 Be a Fan, Bring a Can campaign you can donate online here to add your support to this year’s total.
