In 2022 the Calgary Food Bank distributed over 141,000 diapers to 4,700 families through our Emergency Hamper Program.

Have you ever tried to concentrate when you stomach is rumbling and all you can think about is lunch time? Imagine having to begin each Monday this way. So when hundreds of students in Calgary were identified as chronically hungry, the Calgary Board of Education school-based partnership, Weekends and More, was created ensuring that hungry is not a barrier to learning.
For many charities in Calgary, food is a critical component of providing client support. But purchasing food or sourcing food donations is costly and time consuming, ultimately taking precious resources away from addressing the root causes of food insecurity. Wood’s Homes is one of the many organizations that we work with and the impact of the Food Link Program is invaluable to their organization.
